The man walked behind the counter and removed cash from the register in front of the actual store clerk on at the store located on 495 Old Mill Road around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, said Anne Arundel County Police.
After stealing the clerk's phone and fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash, the clerk called the store owner to determine the suspect's legitimacy, say officials.
The suspect was wearing a bandana covering his face, a 7-Eleven employee shirt over a white undershirt, dark pants, and a dark knit hat with purple effects, police say.
